Where NauTec's found materials and machine parts turn up.
Many NauTec recipes need parts that you find and repair rather than craft. This page lists where they come from. Ancient Machine Parts covers repairing them.

The Crates from vanilla chests hold Burnt Coils, 
Brown Polymer, Cast Iron Ingots, Aquarine Steel Compound, Atlantic Gold Nuggets, prismarine, iron and gold. See Structures for the NauTec ones and Crates and Etching for opening them.

Fishing
Lucky fishing zones and the Prismatic Fishing Rod roll extra loot that includes Rusty Gears, Ancient Valves, Broken Whisks, Prismarine Lenses and Atlantic Gold Nuggets, plus rarer finds that depend on the biome. See Fishing.
Atlantic Gold
Atlantic Gold Nuggets turn up in Crates, Rusty Crates and lucky zone treasure in any ocean. Nine nuggets craft an 
Atlantic Gold Ingot, and an ingot crafts back into nine nuggets. Later on you can make it reliably: an Abyssal Pressure Forge at Y -20 or lower presses a Block of Gold into two Atlantic Gold Ingots on a beam of purity 2.0, in 15 seconds.
The ingot goes into the Sea Scout, the Solar and Sonar Modules, the Auxiliary Ventricle augment and the Resonance Charm, and later into the Fusion Plant parts, the Crystal Cradle, the Prism Satellite and the resonance network blocks.
Prismarine Lens
A lens used in the Bacterial Analyzer, the Grafting Station, the Laser Injector, the Prismatic Emitter, the Impulse Laser Module, the Solar and Sonar Modules and several late machines. You can craft it from Aquarine Steel, and it also turns up as lucky zone treasure.
