Base Elements

Elements are the base building blocks for all chemistry and material production in LTXI. Most, if not all elements are not naturally found in their base states. Luckily, they can be obtained with minimal processing with our machine lineup.

Hydrogen

Hydrogen is used for the mass production of Ammonia and Hydrochloric Acid, as well as for several reduction reactions to process Tungsten and Rhenium precursors into a more usable state. Additionally, it is used for the impulse engines of self-propelled projectile weaponry.

Obtained by ElectroCentrifuging water. This process is slow and power intensive, a sturdy power grid and moderate advancement in power supply upgrades is recommended.

Carbon

Obtained by Grinding coal and charcoal. Alloying with iron and crushed deepslate produces a strong yet easily accessible alloy, Slatesteel.

Nitrogen

Nitrogen is the Overworld's atmospheric gas. Inexhaustible and collectible in large amounts, but requires the specialized Atmospheric Scrubber.

Oxygen

A uniquely reactive element. It can be produces by ElectroCentrifuging water or silicon dioxide sources. It's primary application is fusing iron, carbon, and deepslate into Slatesteel. It can also oxidize Sulfur into Sulphurine if synthesis is preferred over atmospheric extraction.

Sodium

The element of electricity. Obtained from grinding Spark Fruit. This is the basis for electricity-based components and upgrades.

Silicon

The backbone of all electronics. It is obtained by ElectroCentrifuging silicon dioxide sources such as sand, flint, or quartz. Not very useful in its dust form. The Arc Furnace is hot enough to fuse silicon dust into ingots for use in basic electronics. Once you have access to advanced shielding gases, you can make crystal-phosphorus composites for advanced electronics.

Phosphorus

The element of fire and light. This is the basis for fire-based weaponry, and it is also the base ingredient for Neon Lights.

Sulfur

Sulfur is a vital element for reactive chemistry. It is obtained as a byproduct of grinding coal at a reasonably high rate. Unfortunately, it is not very useful in its elemental dust state. Reacting it with Oxygen will produce Sulphurine gas.

Chlorine

Chlorine is a toxic yet invaluable gas used for producing Hydrochloric Acid, Fluoropolymer, and Silicone Oil. Kelp contains a high amount of bio-available chlorine, enough for the ElectroCentrifuge to extract. Alternatively, seawater collected by the Atmospheric Scrubber may be ElectroCentrifuged for chlorine.

Argon

Argon is the End's atmospheric gas and the key to advanced electronics and metals. It is used by the Arc Furnace as a shielding gas to produce silicon crystal-phosphorus composites and smelt Tungsten-Plated Slatesteel and Rhenium.
