Solar Boilers

Solar Boilers operate similar to normal bronze and steel boilers, however they consume no fuel. In exchange, they must have access to sunlight directly above it and produce half as much energy as a standard boiler of its type. Of course, they still do require water.

Over time, the Solar Boiler will calcify and lose efficiency up to a total of 33% loss. Using an axe on a Solar Boiler will reset its calcification. This can be avoided completely by providing Distilled Water instead of normal water.

Solar Panels

Solar Panels produce energy when placed in direct sunlight and provided with a photovoltaic cell of its respective tier. Over time, the photovoltaic cell will erode and eventually break. This means that photovoltaic cells must be produced passively in order to consistently generate energy during the day. The lifetime of photovoltaic cells can be doubled by providing the Solar Panel with Distilled Water.
