Critters and Companions is a vanilla-style creature/pet mod which will fill the overworld with new animals!

Current mobs:

- Otter: Spawns in rivers. Otters will open clams with a 5% chance to find a pearl, which is used to craft enderpearls and pearl necklaces! Clams can be obtained from fishing in rivers.

- Ferret: Spawns in plains and forests and can be tamed with raw rabbit. When tamed, every 5 minutes, they can  be fed raw rabbit to dig for loot. They'll also help you hunt chickens and rabbits.

- Koi fish: Spawns in rivers and can be picked up with a bucket. Groups of koi fish will give the player luck.

- Dumbo octopus: Spawns in deep oceans and can be picked up with a bucket. When a player is drowning, nearby dumbo octopuses will help by giving them a bubble helmet.

- Sea bunny: Spawns in oceans and can be picked up with a bucket. Sea bunny slime can be obtained with glass bottles and used to craft sea bunny slime blocks.

- Dragonfly: Spawns over rivers and can be tamed with spider eyes. When tamed, dragonflies will protect you, and can be given dragonfly armour to increase their health.

- Leaf insect: Spawns in forests and dances to music :)

- Red panda: Spawns in jungles and sleeps through the day. Breedable with bamboo, and tameable with sweet berries. When tamed, red pandas will scare away most aggressive neutral mobs.

- Shima enaga: Spawns in snowy biomes, tameable with seeds.

- Jumping spider: Spawns in forests and lush caves, tamed with dragonfly wings, and will protect the player, as well as attacking silverfish. Drops jumping spider silk, which can be used to craft the silk leash and silk grappling hook. Silk is also dropped from silk coocoons.

- Stick bug: Spawns in forests and does nothing at all. But it dances, all the bugs do!

- Acorn weevil: Spawns in forests. Tameable with acorns, and will attack mobs by throwing clumps of dirt at enemies! Acorns can be obtained by breaking leaves.

- Stag beetle: Spawns in forests. Tameable with berries, and will defend the player with high damage and knockback!

- Rolypoly: Spawns in forests. Tameable with mushrooms, and can be equipped with a chest. Breedable with deadbush.

- Snail: Spawns in forests. Tameable with leaves, and will produce snail slime when right clicked with a bottle. Snail slime is used to brew resistance potions.

- Ladybug: Spawns in forests. Tameable with mushrooms, and will heal nearby pets. Breedable with deadbush.
